Hello parents of wonderful children,
Garderie Sésame was founded in 2012 by Michael Gurman. Garderie Sésame is a high-quality daycare center for families residing in Cote St-Luc, Montréal West, Hampstead and NDG.
Michael Gurman graduated from the John Molson School of Business with distinction and went on to become the director for the Donald Berman Yaldei Developmental Centre for children with special needs. Working with children brought great joy to Michael’s life and inspired him to open his own daycare.
Michael believed that a classroom should be spacious, with light warm colours, and have ample amounts of toys for kids to play with. He believed in hiring qualified educators that have a passion for lesson planning. Michael’s approach to his staff has always been about maintaining positive relationships. By projecting appreciation and recognition, Garderie Sésame boasts very little staff turn-over.
It took several years for Michael to find the perfect location for his dream daycare. Garderie Sésame is conveniently located on the second floor at 5555 Westminster with a large parking lot and easy access to the 103 and 164 bus stops on the corner of Cote St-Luc Road. The daycare is centered between two large parks that the children have named the “Sand park” (Donald Fletcher Park) and the “Train park” (Richard Shwartz Park).
The children at Sesame are fed a morning snack, healthy hot lunch, and afternoon snack. The Daycare is at your convenience between 7am and 6pm. The daycare staff also uses an app called Class Dojo to upload daily content related to your child such as pictures, videos, notices, and text messaging. The app is secure and private between the parent and the teacher alone.
At Sésame we believe in the importance of developing personal relationships and trust with families who need a place where they know their children will be safe and well cared for. The safety of your child is always our number one priority, which is why we have cameras in each class and hallway. We understand the importance of preparing children to meet life’s challenges by providing structured development and consistent monitoring of each child’s progress.
Please join our family now and feel comfort that your child is receiving the best possible care in a stimulating environment that we are proud to call your child's second home.
